I have a 24 Powerboost XLT. Almost 20k miles. Since new I have noticed a somewhat faint grinding or binding feeling and noise when turning. I did have to trim some of the fabric as it was rubbing on the tire. The vehicle is in 2wd, not 4wd, as I do understand there will be binding when turning in 4wd. Backing or slowly turning into a driveway or parking spot when the vehicle is in electric mode, there is no noise or binding. So I do not believe it to truly be a rubbing incident or something with the axle or wheel itself. It is most noticeable when stopped at a stop sign and then turning while accelerating under load. If the engine is still running but there is no gas pedal input, I don't notice it as much. But that may be due to the fact that my foot is not on the pedal. Is this slight binding sensation normal and I am just overly sensitive or is this a potential issue? I hate going to Ford and having them just say this is normal behavior.
