do you think you could’ve installed power folding and power extending tow mirrors on your XLT?
its doable but would require you to swap the door harness or add the wires in for it. did it to my 17 xlt. the power fold mirrors can be bought for $1300 if you look around. door modules might need to be replaced as well but I'm not sure with this gen.

Absolutely, I just didn't want to pay $1600 for them. I think you'll need to make some Forscan changes to get them fully operational.

Does your truck currently have power fold standard mirrors? If not the dealer might not be able to do the install for $50. I'd call and ask them before ordering.
Tow mirrors were only a $250 charge for anyone think about adding them to a build.

Does anybody happen to know the part numbers needed to go from XLT mirrors to power fold/power telescope mirrors? I know I'll need the new window switch, telescope switch, and bezel, but is there anything else needed? I already bought the mirrors, just need to source the switches and whatever else is needed. I just can't for the life of me find the part numbers to order them.

No, I ordered these as a standalone set before I knew Ford sold it all as a kit. I am very electrically savvy and can easily run some wiring. What wires need to be added? Is it just taps for power or will I need to run back to another module? Also, THANK YOU for the part numbers!!!!!

for folding it should be just 2 wires per side to the door module on each door. pin 18/19 for fold on the mirror but I'm not sure on the module plug yet as i have yet to by the helm manual. i highly recommend getting the helm book as it makes it so much easier for adding to the truck.
power extend will be a bit different from before as it uses a separate switch now with more wires.

I have the factory service manual with wiring diagrams, but I think the manual is specific to my truck so I doubt the wires in question will be shown. I'll look into the helm manual. Thanks!

Yeah, my FSM doesn't show what I need. I can't seem to find a helm wiring diagram for the 21 F150, either. How do I go about getting these diagrams? Thanks in advance.

The helm manual is what I have bought for wiring diagram for multiple vehicles
bought directly from helm. It is very much worth it if you plan to add a lot of stuff that would require wiring.

https://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?Make=FRD&Model=F150&Year=2021&Category=3&class_2=FRD&mk=Ford&yr=2021&md=F-150+Pickup&dt=Wiring+Diagrams&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=FCS1433221&itemtype=N
Thanks for the link. The helm manual is paper? I'm seeing that right? Is there a downloadable version?

I listed fully optioned tow mirrors on the marketplace from my 2019. They have everything but telescoping, so no inside switch is required. I was on the fence adding them to my 2022, but have been fine with standard mirrors thus far. It’s amazing how many people wanted tow mirrors when I was looking. Now that I have them posted, not one taker.
