Ok, since now we're thinking about getting the Garmin RV 890, back to thinking about the built right dash plate. May try to do what this guy did and add power too. This way we could mount the Garmin, Furrion, and TMPS clean without wires everywhere and sticking things to the windshield.

The only issue is the mount for the 2021s is deeper and not sure there is any room to install power ports.

Could you fashion up a piece of black abs to mount in that area as well? Just to give enough space for power ports?

I have to say, If I'm going to have those ram style mounts permanently attached like that, I'd be a big fan of hard wire and no power ports. Since I probably wouldn't be doing a lot of switching out.

My thought is I'd only have three of these ram balls showing when not towing since all three devices would be for towing only. I'd store the arms with the devices like we do now with the windshield mounts.

Now this guy mounted ports under the mount which is kinda slick, but different vehicle.

That would be an option to run three home runs and leave them coiled up under the mount tray.

Kind of been taking this thread off track a little, but just ideating and maybe others have some ideas. Since the Garmin and Furrion have different power plugs and there really isn't room for 12v outlets, the home runs should be universal in case of device changes in the future. Using these types of quick connects under the mounting plate may be one option. Then if device barrel sizes change, could just splice in the new one to the quick connect and good to go without having to tear the dash apart and rerun new home run wires.

I know this is old, but to anyone still trying to figure this out, this is what I am going to use with my Furrion camera. Just need the time to install everything:

It's not cheap, but asides the camera, it also allows me to mirror audio/video from my phone to my Sync screen. YouTube, Netflix, whatever. I have used their products in the past and they work great.
