I was wondering why would my traction control shut off and on while I was driving in a rain storm ??
I just got this 2024 F150 and trying to figure out if this is normal or not.
I was thinking it has something to do with hydroplaning ??

What indications do you have that it is shutting off?

It shows the traction control symbol with a line throw it on the instrument panel.

Are you sure that's the traction control symbol? I can't find anything like that in the manual. Only the symbol with an "off" under it. If there's an issue there should be a message on your screen saying if the system is off or to service it.

Is this the symbol you are seeing by chance?

Im guessing the heavy water on the road was giving you that indicator. It just means the truck is doing its job. Hopefully, you slowed down due to conditions/traction control being lost
