Getting new Roush wheels and Cooper tires installed soon and plan to buy new TPMS since my truck is a 2021 they are almost 5 years old. I'd like to replace my factory spare with the 18" wheel and 33" General Grabber tire that are on the truck now, and currently have TPMS installed on the factory wheels. There is plenty of tread on the existing 33" to keep it as a spare. Problem is that I'll have a 5th TPMS on that spare and I'm wondering if that will cause issues or will the trucks computer only pick up the four new ones? I'm going to Discount Tire and I'm sure they've seen this issue but I'd rather be informed before walking in.

I'm pretty sure once the wheel rotation happens it will pick those up and ignore the spare. But I work around could be to drop the spare out and after the four are synced, put it back in. I don't think it would pick it up then.

I bought an OEM Lariat wheel with OEM ford TPMS sensor in it for a 5th wheel to rotate in ("35s").

I had the shop make sure it was broadcasting, but didn't do anything with the truck.

When I rotated that wheel in, the truck detected it into the correct place without issue or input from me after a little bit of driving.

Same at @hotrodmex I implemented five identical wheels for five wheel rotation and my spare has a TPMA bought separately. Each time I rotate and after a drive, the four wheels on the truck are accurate.
