I purchased a set of what I thought to be genuine TPMS 68 sensors for my new wheels and tires from a vendor who I've purchased multiple sets for other vehicles in the past from without a problem. Unfortunately, I cannot get the truck to recognize the new sensors when its in learning mode with either the TPMS 19 tool or removing air pressure from the tires. Is there another tool that I need to initially program the sensors or are they most likely bad?

So I dont know how the tpms 68 sensors are I do know some tpms sensors need to have an id programmed into them if they are new. Programming a new id will require a more advanced tpms tool than the tpms 19 trigger tool.

I'm open to any suggestions for a new tool. Is something like the Autel TS408 what I need?

when I swapped wheels, I added blank sensors, ran by a small tire shop and he scanned them, started at drivers door, walked around truck and woke them up.

Yeah that part is still the same. However, if you press the start button to get the truck into accessory mode then press the hazard button six times, the truck states that it is in learning mode, but it wouldn't recognize the front left sensor no matter what I tried. Not sure why there are two ways to enter the same mode, but using the method in the link above allowed all of the sensors to be recognized on the first try.

One proceedure is for learning existing sensors new location, the other is for learning new sensors. I had a heck of a time figuring it out but learned this recently as well.
