Recently purchased some oem rims and winter tires that I was told had oem tpms installed. My truck is a ‘21 and the rims/tires came off of a ‘19, so the tpms frequency should work.

Is there something I need to do in order for the sensors to be recognized? As it stands they do not and I get a tpms fault. That or I was duped and there aren’t actually sensors installed lol!

In 2021 Ford changed to 433Mhz sensors on the F150. The system now learns the sensors and positions of the wheels automatically. There is no learning process, and if you swap wheels to other wheels with these sensors if will automatically recognize those sensors as well.

2021 - 2024 part
Ford part number ML3Z-1A189-D
Motorcraft number TPMS101

2020 and prior part number
F2GZ-1A189-G

Follow the link below and scroll down to see the fitment guide. These are what you need for 2021 forward.

I’ve read a couple different posts that say the frequency was 315mhz for 2023 and prior and the 433mhz only came into play this year with the 2024’s?

Not questioning your reply but just trying to find out which one is correct haha! Regardless, it seems as though they should auto-detect so mine must be mid-matched OR not there at all!

Click the link in my previous post, tap the vehicle fitment tab scroll down you will see 21 to 24 use the same Ford part number. The part number prefix is ML3Z which dictates the part design started in the 21 MY, 2020 and previous model year sensor will not work.

Did the person posting the 315Mhz frequency sensors for 23 include a Ford part number?

You are correct as 24 changed to 433Mhz. I know because I bought new takeoff wheel package from a 23 and the sensors wouldn't get recognized. Changed them out to the 433 and they picked them up by just driving
