Tow Mirror damaged

I was stopped at a traffic light and a wide load truck hauling concrete mixing equipment clipped my driver side mirror. Cracked the upper mirror, housing, and the cover cap.

Flagged the driver down, pointing to the mirror damage. He pulled over, apologized. Said his company will take care of it. Got contact info.

Called local dealer parts dept to get an estimate for replacement. $2,000 for just the driver side ? and none in stock nationwide.

My mirrors are manual fold/telescope, but have BLIS, Power adjust, puddle lights, spot lights, side indicators, defrost and 360 cameras.

Anyone know of a place to find replacement parts? The defrost seems to be the unicorn feature from what I can see.

I found a second driver's side Platinum seat for my 22 for $430 delivered. Seats always get worn down, from the cushion to the skin so I always buy a backup and swap it out right before I sell it. It was a 21 so it even has the MCS parts...

About 300 bucks on ebay. I would never buy something like that from the dealer... This is just an example. Can't believe that truck got that close to you. Did you have them extended.

If the truck company is paying for it let them pay full price for the mirror... LOL

I did not have the mirror extended, although we know the tow mirrors do stick out farther than standard mirrors.

Kinda in the same boat….. I have my mirror but I need to figure out how to do the 360 camera alignment to get “back up assist not working” off my screen!

Yea I just used for ref. You can get one online way way cheaper than the dealer. I would never buy anything from the dealer...

I almost had my tow mirror removed by the blade of a Komatsu dozer on the freeway today. I don't think a sheet of paper would have fit between the blade and my mirror when he passed me!

Just to update everyone, I followed up with the driver. He said his shop ordered the mirror using the part numbers from the estimate the local dealer gave me. Should be here in a couple of days.

I will confirm part numbers match before install.

Almost, but the PN doesn't match. It's possible that it's different because the black cap is included. Specs look close to matching. Not sure if something is missing.
