TIP; SYNC, Android Auto, voice command button on steering wheel

For the past 4 to 5 months I've haven't been able to initiate calls and text messages in Android using the voice command button on the steering wheel. Pressing the button would only bring up SYNC commands. I was unable to command anything in Android. I spent countless hours trying to figure out what was wrong.

This weekend I purchased a new Samsung phone and apon pairing and connecting with the truck Android auto brought up a tutorial on the trucks screen. I was floored! I had never seen this, and I've haven't been able to get the tutorial back up. Anyway it resolved my problem.

TIP

Press and release the steering wheel voice command button to bring up Ford Sync commands.

Press and hold the button to start Android Auto commands.

Lol, a new Android version just installed on my phone and when I got in the truck this popped up.
