As I was already nearby, with my Cadillac club currently meeting at a dealer, I stopped by Dodge and Ford dealers.
Previously, I had tentatively concluded that Ford 8-way power seats cannot tilt. And I probably would have bought my wife a maverick, but the 8 way power seats (its only choice) definitely do *not* have a tilt function (although the switches are clearly there on the control when you twist to try).
So, along with help from a couple of threads, I concluded that the difference between 8 way and 10 way ford seats was that the difference was a second up/down motor to tilt.
And then I ended up in an xlt today to go from the dealer main lot to their storage lot to try a limited (which was odd; I asked to drive a powerboats and see both types of seats)--odd in that the XLT was also a powerboats, a configuration that ford's website denies exists!
Anyway, as long as I was there, I tried twisting the knob--and the seat tilted!
I checked the sticker, and it was indeed an XLT, and a powerboats. But it did not mention seats at all!
So another round of of, "Which F-150 seats actually decline?" [I'll leave the poerboost for a separate thread]]
