As I was already nearby, with my Cadillac club currently meeting at a dealer, I stopped by Dodge and Ford dealers.

Previously, I had tentatively concluded that Ford 8-way power seats cannot tilt. And I probably would have bought my wife a maverick, but the 8 way power seats (its only choice) definitely do *not* have a tilt function (although the switches are clearly there on the control when you twist to try).

So, along with help from a couple of threads, I concluded that the difference between 8 way and 10 way ford seats was that the difference was a second up/down motor to tilt.

And then I ended up in an xlt today to go from the dealer main lot to their storage lot to try a limited (which was odd; I asked to drive a powerboats and see both types of seats)--odd in that the XLT was also a powerboats, a configuration that ford's website denies exists!

Anyway, as long as I was there, I tried twisting the knob--and the seat tilted!

I checked the sticker, and it was indeed an XLT, and a powerboats. But it did not mention seats at all!

So another round of of, "Which F-150 seats actually decline?" [I'll leave the poerboost for a separate thread]]

I enjoy your posts. Especially your lightheartedness.
So I hope I can count on it when I point out that the Powerboat option is not available in any trim. ?

My KingRanch Multicontour seats tilt.

And I was unaware that the XLT wasn't available as a Hybrid. I've seen a ton of them. Is that a 2024 thing.

I now see that it's in the order guide from Granger, but it certainly is not on the Ford configurator.

[the guy who invented it just died. His funfair is on monkey!]

The 10 way seat adds thigh support (front of seat goes up). The 8 way seat pan tilts on an axis.
I guess that explains it--although on the maverick, there was definitely no tilt.

So on the 8 way, is it "up with a bit more tilt"?

On my '89 Crown Victoria, "six way" mean front-back, and the fore and aft up-down.

I *think* the ford now now calls the power seatback and lumbar 2 each.

the tilting pan just might do it for me--my driving position in, well, every car ever, is front all the way up, and back all the way down.

In the 10 way on the Limited, at full tilt, I could only barely flatten my left foot on the firewall (although I was wearing sandals rather than my typical boots--which put a whole through the floor mat in my Miata after a single week of using the clutch! [leaving me to drive in socks from then on])

I too thought that the PB was not available for the XLT but it is. People in other threads posted a screen shot of the option. However, if you go to the build site and start your search a particular way, the PB option does not show up for the XLT. It is a flaw in the build site or specific parameters.

This makes more sense too as the PB has work truck features for remote job sites so it should be available on a work truck line.

When you find out the Powerboat option was deleted. :(

I've now found out that you have to start with the crewcut. Even though once into the configurator, it happily deletes inconsistent options, it won't deal with the body style.

Brutal spellcheck on that device.

Although I would like to see what an F150 Crewcut Powerboat looks like in KingRanch livery. ?

Yeah, you have to at least select the crew cab first before selecting "start your build".
Ford's site sucks in many different ways. My personal favorite that cost me ~$1500 was the fact it doesn't actually show the damn inventory. Literally the most basic thing they should have working and it does not / has not worked for over 3 years now at least.

We have quite a few 22/23 powerboat crewcuts on the job site here. All shortbox . They are real . Of course Ford calls them “super crew “
