Most people say this package, even though increasing the payload rating is only giving you a 3.73 locking rear and 9.75 rear end. But it increases the payload. I assume if I chose the stand alone 3.73 electronic locking rear I am getting a 8.8 rear end.

Can those with the 2.7 tow package and payload package confirm they have a single rear leaf spring with the composite overload? Supercrew 4wd trucks, please.

I have that package. Yes single leaf spring. My payload is 1764lbs on an XLT Screw 301a package.

Thanks for the confirmation. Apparently there is some magic juju increasing the payload!

I've noticed Ford doesn't list line items of every change a package does. A bit frustrating.

Stand alone 3.73 is still the 9.75 rearend
I can confirm this. My 2021 non-HDPP, 2.7 screw with FX4 has the 9.75”, 3.73.

My 2016 with same configuration had the 8.8“, 3.73.

So true!

With the Powerboost, Ford magically increased the GVW by 300lbs but nothing to explain how?
Admittedly it's not enough to absorb the entire ~500lbs of additional curb weight that the Hybrid gear adds, but it sure helps!

Imagine how easy it must be for Ford, if they wanted to, to simply increase the Payload capacity of your F150 by 300lbs. :)
