70 000 km.
Here’s what I have had or am having issues in my truck with no explanation

that humming sound in the front right. You know that thing that does the thing? Completely forgetting what it’s called. (IWE?) usually in colder temps. But if I drop it into 4x4 it stops. Spoke to ford dealer about and wow! The run around. “It’s not an issue right now”. You mean while I’m still under warranty? Now I’m out of warranty. Still doing it.

-wipe recall-
Yup. Got that fixed. Now my drivers side wiper goes over the edge of the window in high speeds

-memory seat-
This was an issue for about a week. -7c seems to be the magic number.

-motor auto start/stop-

yup. Just notice this stopped doing its thing the other day. To be honest. Not sure how long this has been happening. But it’s annoying

- gas mileage below 7c -

7 is the magical number. My gas mileage goes from 11 to 13/100km as soon as temps even slight dip
And even when it’s a steady warm/hot temps. Nope. Mileage is all over the place.

-car play….. maybe today-

It’s a gamble some days. Who knows if it will connect. Bluetooth or straight

-rough gear changes-

every once in awhile the truck is slow to change gears or when it does it’s jarring. Hate this.

-latest recall for anything but-

Just got my latest recall for a wire harness. Serious? Another one? Last wire harness failure I had was the tail gate release from inside the truck (dash board release button). Wasn’t a recall. But was told it was an ongoing wiring harness issue.

-info screen changing-

The screen constantly changes. The way I have my layout set. Changes all the time. It’s a princess annoyance. I get it. But come on. In any of these updates…. You
shore up these computer issues … speaking of updates

-updates not updating-

unsuccessful updates. Updating not doing anything. Updating changing layouts. Updating canceling options out?

…… I also hate how I can’t find a 3rd party exhaust tip…. Because ford increased the diameter of the pipe just enough that bigger is too big and the usual is too small.

I have a 21 Lariat and had the same issues of start/stop not working, screen default issue, not receiving updates, etc. I took it in for the recalls and the dealership said that the start/stop and lack of software updates was due to a "bad battery". That solved my issues. Might want to ask about that when you bring your truck in for the next recall.

This one is an easy fix, as mine did the same. Take the driver's side wiper arm off (no tools required) and put it back on, paying attention to notches in the spline. Move it over one or two notches in the opposite direction of the driver's A-pillar.

That’s interesting. Bad battery?? Like the main battery or something to do with the computer? Wondering if I can spend the money on the better battery and install myself rather that ford charging me more for a basic battery.
Thanks for the info!

Unreal. How many of these do these guys install and still doing it wrong? Come on.

Mine tech did the recall wrong the first time. I tried them before I left (the wiper was hitting the pillar) and the tech came out and adjusted it in a minute. But yeah, they should check them first before they release the vehicle to the customer.

True. But it was easier for me to spend 3 minutes fixing it myself than to have to take it back to the dealer.

I don't think Lariats have IWEs if they have 4a?

There's a new procedure for polishing the shafts to address IWEs sticking or something.

are you serious about a procedure or is that just the end result of the “feature”?

Have the same iwe issue with 21 Lariat with 4A. Putting in 4h or 4a makes it instantly go away. Seems to have went away and came back between November and March. I’m in Mn so the weather has been basically the same the whole time this year. Had it in a couple of times for it and the tech basically said don’t worry about it will be a warranty issue at some point. It’s driving me crazy

it’s probably a battery issue. The Auto start/stop quit working in my ‘18 F150 unless I had recently done a LONG drive. I figured the battery just wasn’t holding the charge like it used to and swapped it for an Interstate H8 AGM from Costco. Problem went away. The truck seemed to turn over quicker when starting as well.

Got a new one for ya today.
Was driving down the highway and I got a phone call that rang through car play. But there was no screen to accept the call. I fact I could see that the Waze app was frozen.
So I used my phone to answer and it still came over Bluetooth.
This is when I noticed my gauge screen was blacked out. Except for the transmission Info!
As I was talking it was resetting and shutting down.
Didn’t affect the drive or the conversation. It tried three times to restart and failed each time. I pulled over. Shut the truck off. Grabbed a coffee and started it back up. All good.
Pretty sure this has happened once before. Caught the tail end of the reset.
Anyone else?

Stock battery is trash and undersized. I upgraded to an interstate H7 no more strange issues. Also changed SOC to 90% with forscan.
