I just picked up a 2024 F-250, powerful truck. Has the truck for 2 days and checking my setting came across a setting under Connectivity, Telematics came up. I click on it and it stated "Controls the vehicle's cellular and Wifi connections for services and software updates. Connectivity Settings for fleet vehicles are managed in the vehicle owner's portal and the vehicle owner may be able to remotely prevent the vehicle from being started or driven. Please contact the vehicle owner with questions". And the toggle has a lock symbol on it can't shut it off. Went to the dealer today, they have the truck for 6 hours and try to remove this function off my vehicle , could not do it. They pull the fuse for telematics module and told me come back in couple weeks. Does anyone know anything about this problem and how to fix it? It seems like it's a FordPro Fleet Service that added on my vehicle for some reason. PLEASE HELP !!!! I know you guys are more knowledgeable than a Ford dealer

That is feature on Ford vehicles in Europe. Didn't know they brought that over here. Basically everything removed from FordPass is available with paid fleet management subscription.

The service writer was saying that the technicians have no idea how to remove this off the vehicle Also he said they called Ford engineering They have no clue right this moment . I'm just afraid to drive the truck .What happens if it's stops While driving on me.
(vehicle owner may be able to remotely prevent the vehicle from being started or drive)

My non-fleet truck is set to 0. There may be more, I'm still looking.

There are also some in the 2024 versions of: IPC, IPMA, PCM. There may be others I haven't found or am not allowed to see.

I'm surmising FVL is the number of active vehicles on the road you're allowed at any one time per the fleet agreement. No way will I guess what FFBTTC is. Another FML in the IPC, like the APIM. FCFCV doesn't define the variants. FAEIST is self explanatory. There doesn't seem to be any fleet settings in the TCU, but I don't know about the GWM.

I guess I'm trying to say: your dealer won't use or know FORScan. Only as a last resort then, if you're waiting too long, you *could* back up the configuration of those modules, make changes that another 2024 is set to.

There's no guarantee that any of this will work or even help; if it's no go, change or restore it back. Make sure to use the same model/trim etc. as your '24 is.

My main concern is on Ford's side of things: what's happening there that could still prevent removal of fleet restrictions ?‍♂

Another suggestion for temporary peace of mind: if you disconnect the TCU and the truck still runs, then there's no way for them to shut it down remotely. Go for a drive as long as possible while not going too far from home so that someone can pick you up if need be.

If all is well, and when they want the truck back to "fix" the problem, remember to reconnect the TCU before dropping it off.

To disconnect the TCU, behind the RHS seat back, above the Jack is the TCU. Remove the large push pin to peel back the sound deadener, and disconnect the bottom black connector. Use a small screwdriver to press in the locking latch (arrow) and gently remove the connector; the wires are thin so be careful. Pictures follow:

They did in first post dealer pulled the TCU fuse until they get answer from Ford engineering. They also said they have an F-250 so could be a work truck build if that isn't a typo. My guess is the VIN could have been keyed in wrong by someone. It remote enabled fleet management on a truck that isn't part of a fleet. ?‍♂

If they replace the TCU you think it will remove it or It's program somewhere else in the truck

I use the Ford Pro Telematics for work and you can add or delete vehicles as needed. To initially activate the service on the vehicle, Ford goes through a VIN verification that you own the vehicle. You could try calling Ford Pro and check with them to see if they can assist. Not sure if they can, but worth a shot.

@fordtruckman2003, yup, I read The 250 as 150 and totally forgot about the fuse ?. @HANCOCK Bob, forget all the FORScan settings I posted, but there will be equivalent ones for 250s. With the TCU effectively "dead", it's out of range of their remote functions ?
