Tailgate handle

I have a 2023 STX and I will be adding the paint matched door handles and tailgate handle soon. Can the power release tailgate handle with light be added relatively easy?

I just painted my STX handle, I think it would be a ton of work with forscan involved to make it work.

Yeah, I figured this would be the route I would go if the other option is too much. Forscan doesn't bother me as I plan on learning and using it for the other mods that have been done to the truck but need to be programed for.

I’m pretty sure that the mechanical latching system inside the tailgate is also different. It would have nothing to attach to.

Hrm, didn't realize they had manual tailgate handles without the little illumination LED.

I'd suspect it to require a few harnesses. Not sure just how much they strip down the harnesses.

You would have to replace the tailgate harness and add the actuator in the tailgate. You will have to complete a circuit under the hood and to the bcm along with adding the tailgate switch in the dash.

I cant remember if it will work in a Key start truck. I did the conversion but I cant remember if I did it after I went PTS.
