I just looked.> I had a message from you I guess for some reason didn tsee it..

There is no indication in oasis. Only thing it says is vehicle activation FEB 7
Hmmm. Is it worth a trip to a dealer for them to test the battery?

No.. I replaced mine on my one. Many 21 owners did since ford refuses to acknowledge it

21 have bad batteries.. THey test good but if you Auto Start stop doesn't work most the time your battery is toast. That would cause the Update to stall.. Im surprised no battery warning in oasis.
My 21 Auto Stop Start hasn't worked for 6+ months, but got the updates last week.

I know I got PowerUp 3.5.3 sent to me on Tuesday but it hasn't installed yet and folks who have PTS can't tell me why. This thread goes over my troubleshooting so far. Today I disconnected the battery completely (but left it in the truck) and charged the battery completely until the Noco Genius 10 said fully charged. I then reconnected the battery and performed the BMS reset procedure mentioned earlier in this thread. Now I'm getting the "System Off to save battery" message and the lights shut off immediately and proximity lighting isn't working. I just drove around for 45 minutes and monitored the voltage in Forscan at 15-15.1 volts for pretty much the whole drive, then as soon as I shut if off measured voltage with a multimeter at 12.7 volts. During my drive around town I swung by an O'Reily's and had them test my battery with their tester deal and they said "your battery is good". I was expecting them to say the opposite.

I've been suspicious of my battery being the reason my 3.5.3 OTA hasn't gone through this week and then the readings/behavior of the battery and BMS today thinking the same.

I had never once seen the "system off" message before today.

Any ideas why the system off message/behavior or what I did wrong?

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your F-150 concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

So '21 owners with defective batteries are paying for replacements themselves? The bad batteries are still testing as ok at dealerships?

My truck has 12k miles and is 13 months old.

I see that occasionally and hook up my trickle charger over night. Unless you drive a lot, those batteries slowly discharge and stop-go falls away at first with interior lights to follow. Had my battery replaced last year at no cost when it was towed to the dealer for a no-start issue.

UPDATE: I charged the battery overnight (again) and performed the BMS reset procedure again and it's fine now, no deep sleep while running errands with it this afternoon. Not sure what to think now...

Give it some time, bet it shows back up. Mine has been doing it off and on since October. Three times to the dealer, each time they find nothing wrong despite the dozens of screen caps from fordpass and pictures of the warning on the display. I'm ready to just drop the cash on a new battery, my time is more valuable to me than sitting at a dealership. Guess that's what Ford is banking on most owners doing.

Same here, 21 F150 3.5 Ecoboost Lariat.
First time I seen this was when the fordpass app showed "Deep Sleep" when it was sub zero outside a couple months ago. Now, I noticed my dome lights dont work, radio shuts off displaying "system shutting down to preserve battery", none of the courtesy lights work when I walk up with my key.

Just pulled it into our fab shop, and all the plastic caps on the battery are pushed out and the battery is shows good voltage without engine running, and with the engine running.

Put the charger on it, showing 52% battery. Charging now to see what happens.
I called the dealer, I've got 20k on the truck plus the extended warranty and repair plan.
They said I have to drop the truck off and it takes 3 hours for them to test the battery per Ford's instructions.

I’ve got a 2022 XLT and had a similar thing. No courtesy lights or interior lights. When I put it on charge it was showing 46%. Truck is 2 months old…

What happened after charging?
It’s been solid… I actually get a message in the instrument screen that says something like “full power to all accessories”. I don’t recall ever seeing that message before the charge with just the key on but again I’ve only had he truck a short time. We’ll see if it last.
