Has anyone received the latest Sync 4 update? I was told by Ford that they roll them out in waves. Curious if it's fixing any issues for folks.

The latest version released so far is 24127 which comes with OTA 10.1.0.

I'm on 23291. Thanks for the advice to PM @rugedraw! I don't drive very much each day since I work remote. Gotten to the point where I have even chanrged my battery to make sure I'm above the ridiculous 85% battery level.

I fix software bugs!
I received it yesterday. I hope it resolves the lost audio that requires a Sync 4 and/or iPhone reboot...

Unfortunately, that is still occurring for me. But Ford says they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

SSM 53088 Vehicles Equipped With SYNC4 - Intermittent Symptoms After All Available Software Updates Performed - Awareness Of Solutions Being Developed
Some vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms after all currently available accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software updates have been performed.
- General system performance, stability, and intermittent system reboots.
- Intermittent Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto function.
- Phone related concerns with intermittent No Audio or Static.
- Navigation/global positioning system (GPS) related concerns through CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Alexa function consistency and stability.

These symptoms may be due to the software in the APIM. Replacing the APIM will not resolve these symptoms for the customer. Before returning the vehicle to the customer, review the procedures within Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 and ensure the latest APIM software is installed. Refer to General Service Bulletin (GSB) 23-7146 for help determining the latest available level of software.

IMPORTANT: some module software updates will only display as available on Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) after prerequisite modules areupdated. This may require the technician to update certain modules multiple times during the service visit, before the latest APIM software is accessible in FDRS.

If symptoms continue after latest APIM software has been installed, inform customers that Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by late Q4 2024 on F-150, F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, Mustang, Escape, Corsair, Expedition, Navigator, Bronco, Mustang, and 2023-2024 F-Super Duty. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in late Q4 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

Not sure if others have experienced this, but my 2024 will drop CarPlay connections when under or near powerlines. Can’t tell if it’s a phone Bluetooth thing or related to the truck (I.e., SYNC). For the price we pay I can’t believe how unstable the infotainment is….

I got mine a few weeks ago and I think it made the system a little worse. One of my front end sensors seems to have crapped out, but when I go to options to disable the front end sensors it resets to On every time I turn on the vehicle. The menu options even says Front End Sensors (Always), Back End Sensors (Always). It wasn't like this before. Besides that, everything else appears to be the same.

Yea, Ford send to be moving away from the all numerical OTAs and going to a model that like Sync-24.2.6.1 instead. This is the one that brings the APIM up to the latest version. It's 24127 on our trucks..... not sure if 2024 shows a different one in your "about sync" screen.

I find it surprising that Ford would choose to roll this code out despite knowing of all the problems. I need to turn off auto updates on my truck with Ford's complete lack of quality control. It is why anyone thinking of a self-driving car as safe is delusional.

I finally got another update, the one being talked in this thread. Update 10.1.0. SYNC 24.2.1.6 (24216).

Have no idea what it has done, or even screwed up. I noticed it was down loading when I switched off the truck after parking it. Later I checked Ford Pass on my phone and it said the down load was complete.

I haven't heard anything definitive about what this code addresses, good or bad.

What's Ford done with this update that's so egregious?

And yeah I know. We are all delusional except............. ??
