Discovered Sync 4 will let you use the Voice button on the steering wheel and say "Play Am Radio" or "USB" for my FLAC encoded songs! At first it would let me actually let me ask to play a specific song and would play it.
All of a sudden it says "Playing (name of song)" I asked for, but the screen shows "Media file is not available" or something like that, and then just play a random song. It will still allow me to say "Play (artist)" and then I can use the screen to play the song I want, as it has filted to all the songs by that Artist.
These are all legally owned songs I encoded from my CDs and has nothing to do with Apple so should not be a performance rights issue (or is it?). I did notice it mentioned something about syncing with something for voice commands which suggests sending the data somewhere.
It worked and then it didn't.
Any guesses?
