Not sure if you are legitimately asking or if this is an advertisement but none of them go full screen even if you have updated your truck to have full screen CarPlay/Android Auto. The only way to watch full screen video is Naviks.

Nope, truly asking. My buddy in his GMC get full screen with the Magic Box but I didn't want to spend the money if it didn't work. Hoping someone tried recently.

I have the full screen Apple Play and couldn't see why this wouldn't work.

I was leaning towards legitimately asking but the promo code had me questioning it because there is always some sort of deal going on . A few of us tried after updating our trucks and had no luck with the magic box or any other similar options. I ended up giving in and getting the Naviks and am very happy with it.

I guess it is easier to understand if you have either had one already or have done a bunch of research but I’ll try.

The magic box itself has an operating system running inside it that is Android based. It can be used stand alone when connected to your truck without needing your phone (other than needing it for a hotspot unless you are somewhere else within range of Wi-Fi). This is what runs the video applications. You can install any android apk or use the Google play store to get video apps.

You can then connect your phone to the Magic Box wirelessly and an app installed on the magic box passes through CarPlay or android auto wirelessly to your vehicle.

The Magic Box (or any of the dozens of other similar options like MMB, Carlinkit, etc) does not let you watch video from iOS apps installed on your iPhone.

That's what I have. I finally got it installed a few weeks ago I love it!!!

If I'm driving I going to listen to music. If passengers want to watch shows then they can put on some headphones and bust out a phone or tablet. I think listening to shows and not watching would get annoying. Just me though.
