Still missing features - 2021 Job 1 XLT

I have a job 1 2021 XLT that I bought back in early May and am missing at least 2 things that I think i should have based on my update level.

1. Cameras at speed (I tried the FORScan hack) but want the bed camera card on the right side so i can see my map while looking in the bed.

2. Pro Trailer Backup sticker function - I've got the stickers in my glovebox, but when i push the button it says "connect sensor" or something like that, giving no option for sticker use.

I'm currently on version 23291_product revision 1049 of sync and I am getting updates (just got a 10.1.1 update within the last week) so I think I am at the update where I should have both of these features even though I am behind on sync updates.

Do I need to go to the dealer at this point and pay even more money to get these features?

Is there anywhere else I can check other than sync version to see if maybe a module or BCM is behind in updates?

I'm not sure about the pro-back up set up because I never did it on mine; not interested in that at all.

In regards to the bed camera: What exactly did you try with FORScan?

I made the same changes for camera at speed on my job 1 2021. It worked for about a minute and now I just get blue screen camera not available, see dealer. Camera works fine when backing up though.
I think I've got the same sync version as you and just got power update 6.1

I'm not sure then. I agree your Sync version is high enough where it should work.

I also noticed that my truck does not have the fake engine noises, which I don't want but I wonder if that means a previous owner previously modified the settings in Forscan and somehow disabled some things.


ETA: I will note that the camera at speed WORKS, I just don't have the "card" on the right side of the display where i can look at it while using the map, audio, etc.

Yea, but I only two settings for the CHMSL camera in the APIM and the changes you made covered them both. I am not sure if there is a setting where you can modify what cards show up on the screen or not.

You can turn cards off/on in the APIM at 7D0-03-01. Look for the IOD settings.

Excellent! Mine was E and I changed it to F to enable that card. The card appears but when i click the bed camera button it does not load and stays blank. One step closer

Looking at 7D0-01-03 and the digit right before that I see this, highlighted is my option (3).

Is this my Pro Trailer backup sticker issue?

I would say yes. Mine is also set to 3. Seems like a B is correct there.

I made the aforementioned changes, actually did A instead of B because I also read that sometimes the bed camera doesn't work if there are too many cards, so i removed the eco and eco behavior ones and the bed camera still does not work in the IOD view.

I did a power cycle button off then on again and manually reset the apim with the power button and seek right button held down.

Thanks for this thread. I updated my 2021 XLT Job 1 truck yesterday which took about 10 hours using a VCM2. After everything was fully updated, I was missing the bed camera. In my prior 2021 F150 Platinum, it just started working after an APIM update, but in this truck, it was missing. I did not remove any pages (I have quite a few enabled stock), but I used this information to note that the setting from the factory was "E", and I changed it to "F". As soon as the APIM reset, the bed camera page was there and works fine. Again, thanks for posting this. It saved me a lot of hunting around.

Glad I was able to be of help.

@aiderbooze I think this is the same issue yours has. Check my post that he quoted and see what your truck shows there in FORScan.
