Hi everyone,

I'm new to the truck world and I'd love some advice on adding a sub and amp to my truck.
I already have a single 12" sub and amp from a previous car.

Is it best to place sub and amp behind the rear seats or underneath?
Is it best to remove the OEM sub and amp or add to the system? (I have the OEM B&O 8 speaker equipment)
Any links to vendors to purchase a new sub enclosure?
Sealed enclosure or ported enclosure is better?

Thanks in advance!

For me, the only place to put it is behind the seat, but it does limit your options. I personally am always transporting things in my back seat, including my dogs and having a sub on the floor in the way when I fold my seats up just isn’t an option. I went with the Sounds Good Stereo behind the seat sub & amp and between that and their sound deadening package, I couldn’t be happier.

Thanks very much for the response, Bryan.
I'll get in touch with Sounds Good Stereo.

In my case, I have a under-seat box with two 12's. For me: bass > space. I tapped into the factory sub for the signal and use an LC2i to eliminate the bass roll-off. I left the factory sub connected even though it is not doing anything in comparison to what the aftermarket subs are doing. I did not want to remove it because if leaves the cabin exposed to the elements unless you replace it with a block-off plate to cover the hole where it is now.
