Has anyone sprayed their rear wheel liners instead of buying the actual liners. If so how do you like it. Another question is if id try that and didnt like it and got the actual liners would it fit like it should.

As long as you don't block the holes I don't see any harm in spraying it. Factory doesn't bother to put paint in wheel wells so I'm of opinion anything is an improvement. If holes do get blocked a knife will take care of it.

Thays what I'm thinking anything is better than what's there. I was thinking possibly buying the spray cans and doing myself. Any tips on a good one. Guys at local spray liners ship said they don't spray wells. Don't wanna drive a far way to try getting it done

Spraying mine is next on my list. My dad and I sprayed his Raptor wells with a rattle can. Lots of tape and lots of newspaper to block off things to you don't want sprayed and prevent overspray.

I think it may have cut down on the severity of the "ping" when gravel gets thrown up, but it's not going to really cushion. It just makes for a nice clean look and makes cleaning off mud (and cow crap) easy.

Yeah im mainly wanting it to look finished instead of the overspray truck color on it now. I figured I'll use a rattle can bedliner for a little more durability instead of just paint.
I just don't know which one is the best to get. I'd almost assume they all about the same

I've done it on a previous truck with line-x.
Went to do it again on another truck and the vendor declined. Saying they won't do it for warranty or whatever the reason (can't recall).

Problem with the spray was that it became very discolored after a season or two, no matter how hard you tried to clean it.

Whats the reason for not wanting liners? I went with Husky and have no complaints. For and spray on your gonna have to remove the wheel, scuff and or clean, tape off, etc. And then the fronts will still be whatever the oem is.

Well I was thinking that it'd be nice looking like my bed liner. Thats why I was asking if it'd mess up if I got liners later. But thinking more about it I think the liners will be the way to go it'll have better coverage and look better. And honestly the cost of the rattle cans and all that I might as well spend a few more dollars and get the liners instead of wasting money on spray. From what yall said I doubt I'll like the spray anyway

I talked about that with the Line-X folks when I had my bed sprayed. He said they’d do it, but wheel well liners were a better option. I’ve been perfectly happy with the liners.

Yeah I'd asked local shop about it he said they don't do them. So I thought about doing myself but I think I'd be much happier with liners. There not really much more expensive and I believe I'd get better protection and cleaner look.
What kind did you get.
