Spray in liner tailgate side dents

Ok so I got a lineX install done at a pretty reputable place about 2 weeks ago now. I just happened to notice what look like a pair of dents on each side of the tailgate. It looks like it just might have been the way the tailgate was put together from the factory. I sent the pictures to the installer and they say they don't think it was them. Now I'm not so sure. It looks like it's where something clamped down and pushed those points in. Let me know what you all think. Anyone see anything similar on their tailgates?

Interesting. Wonder if anyone else has seen those dents. It's not a big deal, you can hardly see them, obviously only with the tailgate open, but the OCD is kicking in and it's annoying me.

Are they on both sides of the tailgate in the same spot? Looks like they use those points to secure it somehow and the pressure creates a dent. Or something else entirely

The curved shadow between 2-1/2 and 5 shows the slight depression that is the same on both sides of mine. In my case at least I'm certain that is from the factory.

Looking at that rubber on your PAT Tailgate sticking out and whatnot. I wonder how long that will last before it chucks itself away into oblivion or starts flapping around.

Everything but the PAT is hard plastic/PVC same as the regular tailgate. In 5 months, nothing is rattling or moving on the PAT tailgate. I am quite satisfied with it.

The only rubber on the PAT is the left and right door jamb.

I guess I was referring to that RIGHT hand-seal piece, which is bending upwards......

I noticed those dents too on my neighbor's F150.
