Are they on both sides of the tailgate in the same spot? Looks like they use those points to secure it somehow and the pressure creates a dent. Or something else entirely

Interesting. Wonder if anyone else has seen those dents. It's not a big deal, you can hardly see them, obviously only with the tailgate open, but the OCD is kicking in and it's annoying me.

It was hard to give up the Tacoma, but this thing is just beautiful. I wanted an F150 for years, this is one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. That rumble is something else.

I thought about getting the 3.5 PB because I think that powering your house is pretty cool and we lose power quite often, but I wanted to keep it simple. I have a decent generator anyway. Couldn't pass on that sweet sweet 5.0 rumble.

I think I've made up my mind, much thanks to all the responses on here. Made me feel much better about my move to the F150. Not the most financially responsible one but, gotta enjoy the fruits of your labor occasionally. Going for the trade tomorrow, wish me luck.

Defects are one thing, but longevity is another. 200k miles for a late teens, early 20's F150 sounds like a lot. 300k for the same year Tacoma sounds normal. It's all anecdotal based on forum posts of course. Here's one with 425k miles apparently...

The Telluride is great. We test drove one earlier this year, almost pulled the trigger on it. I wish the US had better minivan options. The Kia carnival looks awesome, but no AWD kills it for me. They should just start making SUV's with sliding doors.

Any issues with the truck that you had to go back to the dealer for in the time that you owned it? I have one toddler and a baby on the way, don't have much time or patience for dealership warranty visits right now.

Ah man dumping the taco after 3 years as well. Is the F150 going to be your main ride? My wife wants a big family hauler like a Tahoe or Armada, so having 2 big cars for us seems like overkill.
