Somone hit my bumper--repair or replace?

I'd go with bumper replacement. For just $100 more, you get a stronger, more durable RC bumper that won’t need fixing if it gets hit again. When deciding between bumper repair or replacement, think long-term—repairing now might mean more costs later.

That is an easy diy replacement. I had the same type damage. I bought the bumper cover off of eBay for $120 and had it painted for about $100. Installed myself in less than an hour. Easy

This sounds like the best course of action. Couldn't you just pull your own cover and take it somewhere and have them paint it? This way its never reported to carfax? FWIW i don't know how big a job it is to pull the cover, you may have to remove the entire bumper to do it?

An RC bumper will look worse overall in a few years time, much worse. I’d pull it and bring just the bumper to a body shop and pay out of pocket, keep it off the insurance books as others have mentioned.
