2023 PB 501a 4x4 short bed 7.2KW. PL=1658lbs.
When we test drove a 14th gen in prep for ordering our new truck, it felt a lot bigger. A lot bigger but feels can be deceiving and I didn't bother digging through the specs. to find exactly how much.

Then I saw this vid.

Holy cats.

Now, my 01 is stock height 4x4, with the SC and the next longer bed but wow.

If the new truck wasn't going to be here so soon, I'd have to dig through the old specs and compare them to the new, just out of curiosity but I'll be able to take side by side pics soon enough.

POST EDITED TO CORRECT WIDTH SPECS (MY TRANSCRIPTION ERROR )

Just FYI / FWIW a while back I looked at the Ford Body Builder Spec Book comparing 2005 Gen 11 to 2022 Gen 14.

Specs for the 4WD SuperCab ~145" WB (2005MY / 2022MY)

Overall Length: 229.8 / 231.7 (+1.9", standard bumpers)
Overall Width: 78.9 / 79.9 (+1", not including mirrors)
Cab Height: 75.6 / 77.2 (+4.1", standard tires & springs)

Not reflected in the numbers but the hood / fender profile is much higher on the 2022 compared to the 2005, which makes a huge difference in the size-perception from the driver's seat.

Above data is 4WD vs 4WD; for grins here's my 2005 2WD and 2022 4WD in a pic that makes the difference much less obvious

Overall Width: 74.8 / 79.9 (+5.1", not including mirrors)
Cab Height: 75.6 / 77.2 (+4.1", standard tires & springs)

So yeah, height and especially width are up noticeably on the later model.

Are you sure about those width measurements? A guy I boat with has a 2000 4x2 and it really does not look any smaller than my 2023 4x4 side by side besides being a hair lower to the ground.

Thanks for compiling the data. 2" in length and a few in height are manageable, but I can't believe width is up that much. Have standard parking spot widths increased in 20 years? Kind of a rhetorical question, but parking isn't getting any easier. I really feel for the guys who don't have 360 cams in these things.

Regarding size perception from the driver's seat, I will say that I appreciate the F150's relatively low hood compared to a GM twin or Ram. My truck feels significantly smaller from the driver's seat than my dad's '22 Sierra, and I know the Ram hoods are even taller. Not sure how an F150 BAP hood might change things though.

Thank You, with apology, I made an embarrassing error in transcription and have edited my OP.

Nope, your post looks perceptive, I'm the only dummy in this fiasco, and your post with the original quote deservedly demonstrates that!

It must've been the camera angle then because I mentally accounted for the lightning being lowered.

Looked worlds apart but yours don't.
