Ford F-150 Should i IMG_6861

Today I got my me wheel and tires (295/30/26) installed. Talked to the suspension guy and he said don’t go lower in the front or it will scrub but he says I am 3” higher in the rear. He said if anything he would recommend using the 1.5” shackles so the bed support does not have to be cut and that will allow me to still be able haul things with no problems. What are thoughts?

All in favor of the Ford lowering shackles if you don't tow. Which I guess applies to you because I'm sorry man, but those wheels make me 🤮

I'd be afraid to drive something with so little tire!!
I was until I did a few years ago with a different truck I had. As long as you not hitting curbs and driving crazy all is well. I’m also not towing either.

I live in Michigan and you would be hard pressed to make it out of a parking lot without breaking a rim here.

I do like the look and all, but how does it feel going down the road? The tire is part of the suspension system, do you feel every little crack go over or does the truck smooth things over for the most part?

I did get true balance on the tires so they shaved them to ensure the best ride I could get. I have driven it about 60 miles since this morning when I got them installed and so far I am pleased with the ride.

Have you already removed the rear lift block? that may be the easiest and least expensive option. There's a few threads around here that go into good detail.

I have the 2wd and I think only the 4wd has the blocks from what I was told.

ah, so much for that option. I do think it'd look good 1.5" lower in the back, the rake on these trucks is a bit much especially if you don't plan on hauling anything heavy frequently.

I don’t plan to haul anything very often in this truck. This picture is taken with the factory wheels in the back, not sure how much that really affects the picture but I’m thinking of just doing the shackles and wanted to get some opinions on that look. Thank you for actually giving that input
