When the vendor says they will not fit I go with their response. Also, I have to know if baby moons will fit their hub cap profile. Thanks for you input.
That’s not exactly a great philosophy to live by. How many dealers or Ford themselves have said things cannot be done that users here have proven otherwise? There’s an answer of “no they don’t fit because we know this” and “no they don’t fit because we don’t want liability”

When I bought tires for my 98 K1500 about 3 years ago, I dropped a set of factory 98 k1500 wheels off at the tire store to have them mounted. Stock size tires as well.
245/80-16. So, stock tires size and OEM stock wheels.
All they had to do was to remove existing tires and replace with new the following day.

Had to sign a waiver acknowledging non stock tires size and wheels.
Couldn't believe the tire store made me sign this.

Understood but on the other side of the coin I cannot risk a "trial and error" approach. Paying the return postage is bad enough should they not fit but the labor and time wasted is also a problem. When 19 of 19 wheel vendors state there is no fit for their inventory that is good enough for me.

I may have to have my stock wheels powder coated gloss black and the caps chromed. But that still isn't the old school look I want. My next move is to shop 18"s.

You want

5L3Z-1015-DA

If you don’t believe it will fit, go drop the spare from under the bed of your truck and put it on, if it doesn’t fit, we all have spare wheels that don’t fit our truck.
