I also live in the south and yes, ventilated seats help here. Remote start prior to getting in on a hot day will cool the seats with AC and ventilated action making a more comfortable initial entry. This is my first truck with leather seats. It was great over winter but as it's getting hot in the south my legs are sticking to my seats. It's driving me crazy haha.
Would ventilated seats fix this?
agree...They do work better than not having them. However I wish they would blow air instead of sucking air as I thought the seats that blew air through them, worked better at cooling.

In 16 bought a 16 lariat in 18 bought a 502a Lariat for the better ventilation seats, traded it off for a 19 Platinum for even better seats.
Fast forward to 22 traded off the Platinum and now drive a cloth seat 22 XLT 302a with column shift and console. Going into the 4rth year of ownership and WILL NEVER go back to leather.
oh man...they suck air? Where does that air get ducted to? This could be fun after a massive lunch at <insert restaurant of choice that induces fragrant body gas>. I'm sure my wife and back seat passengers would approve. They do work better than not having them. Is it effective without having to resort to very dark windows? I prefer being able to see at night.... 2) Nanoceramic window tint is a godsend. The top of the line XPEL stuff is amazing.
