Selling tailgate?

got some dings and scratches in my tailgate. Currently getting a brand new tailgate installed. Body shop is letting me keep the old one. Thinking about selling the old one. Someone may be willing to try and fix the scratches and light dings. Or just maybe leave as is. I am a perfectionist so it would have bothered me. Where should I post it? Facebook marketplace? If I don’t sell should I keep it as a spare?

With a little enginuity that could certainly be done. I've seen them used as bench seats hung on the wall in bars.

Facebook Market place is a good place to start, one never knows if someone is looking in your area.

Got a whole second garage full of to do someday projects that just seem to never get done.

10 years retired this year and the spouse says Ive completed 10 things on the list of a hundreds of things to do and 9 are questionable.

If you do decide to sell it, I’d make sure you have all the documentation because someone is gonna claim it’s stolen.

if it was me I’d probably keep it just in case the one on the truck gets stolen.

I've been looking ever since I bought my truck in 21 for a tailgate wiring harness with no luck. I need the connectors to rig up the lights on my commercial shell. I don't want to take mine apart as I will use it occasionally when I remove the shell to haul my RZR.
