Ever since I activated SecuriAlert I get this notification everytime I open my 2022 King Ranch even though I have my key:

I would think if I open my truck with my key it would be an "authorized opening" as opposed to an "unauthorized opening." Or it this how the system is designed to operate in case an "unauthorized" user has my key?

Yes, that's what it's supposed to do. Pretty annoying, but I get the logic behind it - what if your key/fob was stolen (someone broke into the house just for the key because they liked what they see in the driveway) or you lost the key/fob? Annoying as hell but makes sense.

I actually use it now as we speak, the truck is at the dealer and I know when/what they opened

Thanks - that's kind of what I figured. Just wanted to confirm it wasn't some kind of fluke issue like my driver tow mirror only unfolding halfway when I open the door. Dealer says that will be fixed when they do a 3 to 4 day massive module update next week to correct a number of querky issues. We'll see!

I’ve found SecuriAlert to be useless. It only works when the doors are opened while in my driveway. Anywhere else I don’t get a notification.

3-4 days for an update? . Heck, no...I brought the truck yesterday for a warranty issue which they finished and they said there is an update to Sync (my Sync said no updates available), it better not take them 3-4 days, totally unacceptable. I'll drive with my current Sync and they can keep the updates if they want. We paid a respectable amount of money to drive these trucks, not to have them sit at the dealer for days. There is no reason it should take that long, you can reset and re-install Windows, iOS or Android in less than an hour.

Mine works everywhere but I only use it when I am not at home (like staying in a hotel) or if the truck is at home and I am out of state/country.

I hear you. I'll be reporting back to Jesse in the other thread about Latest Sync4 Versions when I get some amplifying info from the service advisor on Monday going in for my service appointment. Could be interesting! Besides the mirror, my initial complaint was for a Reverse Brake Assist Not Available warning and alarm everytime I put the truck in reverse. They said it was throwing all kinds of electrical codes and they needed to update many modules.

The notifications were spotty at best, and annoying. I finally just turned if off.

I understand the idea behind it, but I don't need to be alerted when I get OUT of my truck after driving.
