Id take it back in a heartbeat and ask politely to fix it. The only way these trucks get better quality assurance is by customers bringing there quality issues to dealers attention.

what’s the worst they can say??? No?? I doubt they would and if they do find another dealer if they’re going to be stingy

Hey all, I’ll preface that I know this is a very minor issue, but I’m trying to set my own expectations as to whether it’s worth bringing this up during my next service visit.

Due to what appears to be misalignment in the leather stitching, there is a large wrinkle in my drivers seat. The truck is less than a month old and I noticed it shortly after taking delivery, so I don’t believe it could be normal wear and tear.

My question is: would you bring this up and ask for a warranty fix? I don’t love the way this looks, but I also think it’s likely that the dealership comes back and says this is considered normal workmanship and warranty will not apply. At that point I’m guessing I’d be liable for a nice diagnostic fee.

I’d love anyone’s thoughts or experiences with similar issues. Thanks!

Thanks all for the input. I ended up deciding that the risks of an improper fix outweighed the benefits and therefore did not ask the dealer to fix it.

However, I was actually able to “fix” it myself by massaging the seat cover and the underlying foam until they were better aligned. After doing this, the seat looks normal and the wrinkle hasn’t returned after driving it a few times.

I have a 25 Lariat 501a with the same seats, and the same exact wrinkles in the same spot. I noticed it when I took delivery, however I've found a bunch of 2025 lariat listings with the grey leather seats, and most all of them have the wrinkles to some extent. I also did not take it up with the dealer for fear a replacement seat cover would only be worse. Most dealer techs aren't experienced with upholstery work so it would probably be poorly done.
