Not sure it'll work if it is vin matched, but I wouldn't mind trying
Give me a bit to upload the files to Dropbox and I'll message you a link. I assume you have the means to recover the ipma if it bricks if you're willing to try it.

@rugedraw sent you a PM with VIN. Still stuck on Sync 21136 REV 134. Pretty sure no updates since I bought it new in 2022

Sure, but please remove your VIN from the post.

You've had a recent GWM update sent to your truck twice, but it timed out and failed both times before your truck pinged the server back to allow the OTA to proceed to the download/install step. Has your truck been sitting a lot for the past few months not being driven or turned on?

Your truck's modem is offline, so you can't receive updates. The dealer would first need to update your GWM in hopes that a TCU update releases after that one is done. Once the TCU is updated, it should enable your connectivity and allow updates to start coming in. The software on your modem is very out of date and without it being update, your truck will not have any connected features or the ability to receive OTA updates.

@rugedraw I sent you a PM. I appreciate your time.
Yea, that software is very out of date. It seems like the dealer just replaced your APIM. I assume your truck was stuck on the 20301 broken software?

If that is the case, they did fix the problem. They update the GWM, APIM and TCU. Your modem is not working and your truck is able to start receiving updates whenever Ford decide to send you one. Your truck is no longer stuck on the broken software, but it still very out of date.

Exactly, they replaced the AIPM and said they updated the software. Hopefully updates start rolling in.

Yea, they updated it, but not all the way. The way these things work, the updates have to be installed in sequence. It won't update from an old version to the latest in one shot.

Should I readdress it with the dealer or will the truck start updating from old to new on its own?

It will update on it's own, but who knows when the next update will be sent. It will be a long time before the OTA process gets you caught up. I would look into FDRS and it yourself. You can try with the dealer, but I doubt they will do more than they already did. Ford does not pay them to update modules just because they are out of date, and you have many hours worth of module updates before you're up to date.

Done. What changed with this? I was never nervous about posting my VIN before.

Not really, no. My truck is exactly 3 years old and has 35,000 miles. Mix of road trips and <20 min daily drive to/from work. I get the phantom update notification for ECG-24.2.5.6.1 once or twice a week, which is annoying. Is this OTA known to break anything?

In that case, I would try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 20 minute or so to force reset all the modules. You had two OTA's fail because the truck didn't ping the server back to accept the update. Do that in hopes that the next time one gets sent, it goes through.

No, that OTA does not break anything. What you were seeing was most likely the update wanting to install but not being able to.

Looking to see if I can get assistance verifying if I have any updates that I’m missing. I recently changed some settings with Forscan, but it doesn’t appear that the splash screen is updating for me, no matter how many times I reset the APIM.

Ford customer care says my Sync is fully up to date, but I don’t have any of the features that I’m seeing on other posts, such as full screen Apple Car Play, Home Screen button, etc. I’m wondering if my version is outdated and that’s why I can’t get the splash screen to change?

Thanks in advance!
