Your truck is on Sync 22136 which is very old and is the same software your truck was built with. It does not seem like your truck has ever recorded a successful OTA. I would make an appt with your dealer and tell them your truck has never gotten an OTA since you bought it. They need to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replaced under warranty to get it out of its current state.

Planning on ordering a 2-day FDRS this weekend and finishing up my updates. Since my last updates were done at the dealer I have no Power-up version number displayed under Update Details as a reference, but I am now at SYNC 23031_PRODUCT, Rev 713. If I'm reading the Power-Up info chart correctly that should put me up to at least 4.2.2.

Now that it's been back for about a week and able to communicate with the mother-ship, can someone take a look and let me know how what's left to update so I can plan accordingly before I start my license? Once again based on the Power-Up info chart it looks like it could be APIM, GWM, TCU, HVAC & IPC?

PTS shows your Sync is 23031 which is the latest. I would not give Ford another $50. What updates you are missing are few and they don't give you anything new anyway. No OTA's in your queue now, but that is normal. It will take a bit for your truck to Sync up with Ford's server so they know what is the next update that needs to be sent to you. I would not be surprised if the next update you get sent is one that you already have, so it will fail and then later on, they will send you the 4.2.x update you actually need. You can do it yourself if you want, but me in your position, I would just let it happen naturally since you aren't getting anything new out of the few updates you still have left.

Since I've gotten my truck back from the dealer and the forced updates that they did I have held off re-adding my FORScan alterations to give everything a chance to settle down and synchronize properly.

In your experience has reactivating the changes in FORScan caused problems with the automatic OTA updates?

If so I'll probably just deal with the double honk and auto high beams for a while longer as opposed to reactivating my changes and risking delaying or breaking the OTA updates again.

I have several FORscan changes on my truck, I got all the 4.2.x updates via OTA and had no issues getting the updates nor did any of the FORscan changes I made get lost.

Very few trucks have reported getting 4.3.2 at this point. It is not being sent out as aggressively as the 4.2.x updates are.

Your truck got 4.2.4 two weeks ago. As far as OTA's go, you're up to date. You may have a few pending updates on FDRS, but good luck getting them to do it. Ford does not pay them to update modules.

Yes, you got it. 3.5.2 is a GWM update, so it won't change your Sync version. Only APIM updates can give you a newer Sync version.

So it seems they got me receiving OTA updates again hopefully 3.5.3 comes soon I believe that's the full screen android auto update

I just received 3.5.2. yesterday. I'm so excited because I took it to the dealer to have my truck updated, but after $100 and them stating it was updated it was not.

I called Ford Wednesday and said I would like to know why my truck is not updating. I politely reminded them I paid a crap ton for it with the promise it would receive updates. I also mentioned I like it, but I do not like the fact that I have to uphold my promise to pay my monthly payment while Ford doesn't uphold their end by updating my truck. I would like to use some of the features like AA, but it skips and disconnects so I deleted it from my phone so I can connect via bluetooth and stay connected.

Note, I said all of this calmly and I was very cordial with the woman the whole time. My plea must have done the trick, because my truck was finally updated from 2.7.3 to 3.5.2. the very next day. I know it's not as up-to-date as others, but I'm relieved to know my truck is capable of receiving updates and that Ford is updating 2021's.
