LOL, just another data point I guess. Isn’t 3.5.4 the one that allows 2 phones to connect? If so, I can check via that method.

That's a good idea. Try it. Unless it went in and PTS never recorded it? I guess stranger things have happened.

Oh. Yeah that happens from time to time. the OTA system and FDRS are not linked. So the OTA system will send out Updates that are old. Its happened to @speedracercjr a couple times and it actually installed in his case.

It should cancel out eventually and move one. I dont know why Ford still has this issue.

I don't think he's used FDRS. That was my first thought, but I checked his vehicle history since he got 3.5.3.2 and nothing indicates FDRS was used to update anything.

thanks! I kind of figured it was something along those lines. It’s not like there are any issues, but more along the lines of gathering information on how the OTAs work. @rugedraw noticed that my 3.5.4 failed multiple times, but I’ve gotten the 4.X updates throughout April and 4.2.4 today.

Not necessarily for OTA, but because the dealers around me are, ummm, not inspiring my confidence. The dealer for my last vehicle serviced it with no problems and completed any and all csp/tsb situations without my asking. The ford dealer… requires me to pull teeth.

your apim is definitely stuck on original firmware with dtc u0554 setting pretty much daily (improper response from apim). you would likely have good success with mongoose/fdrs

As @kodiakz said, your truck needs help to get it out of its current state. Sync 20301 is bad software from 2020 known to break the OTA process on early 2021 trucks. If you want to take the dealer route, tell them to reference TSB 22-2404 for APIM's that won't update. If they get your APIM recovered or properly replaced, it will open the door for you to start getting updates.

As far behind as you are, I would recommend getting a Mongoose tool and doing it yourself.

I updated to 3.5.4 with FDRS in Oct 2022 and was sent, and it installed 3.5.3 in Jan 2023. Then the last week or so got all the 4.2.x updates. Confusing to say the least.

I updated my 2021 Job 1 last fall with the mongoose and FDRS to finally get bluecruise after the dealer failed. Curious to see if I have been receiving any updates since or if they are piling up. I haven’t been super interested in trying to update manually until we see a bluecruise 1.2 release. My VIN is below, could anyone update me on the latest? Thank you
