lmao Agreed. I have been trying to see patterns for months to no avail. However, all these owners reporting 1009, 1010 and 1007 days after getting 3.5.4 cannot be coincidental. I can confirm dozens of people between this and f150forum that have reported one of these updates coming in after 3.5.4.
If you say so. But that’s not been my experience. As I said, I got PU1009 and did not get 3.5.4. So, I will only concede that your data shows correlation—it does not prove causation.

You received 3.5.2 last month. No OTA in your queue at this time. You need 3.5.3.2 and 3.5.4 to be up to date as far as OTA power up updates go.

If I'm following properly. None of these updates on FDRS have any value to me; is that correct? I received PU1009 earlier in the week.

I’ve been having the shutter issue while driving at highway speeds in higher gears. My truck has been receiving updated, but nothing PCM related that I know of.
The VIN is 1FTFW1ED2MFD08722

Could someone check to see if I have any updates? I’ve been on the fence about purchasing the mongoose cable.

I cannot, but if you have a 2022, it would come out of the factory with up to 2.8.3 already on it. 3.5.2, 3.5.3.2 and 3.5.4 would be the only power-updates the truck is missing.
@rugedraw Do you know which tool is used to view the currently installed version of Power Up? I thought I've read the Ford PTS utility can provide this capability, but I'm not sure.

You can’t. PTS can give you a 60-day look back for OTAs sent to you. But that requires a dealer code to access it. Locally, you can check the software update section of the Sync screen or FordPass but that will tell you only the last update sent to you and it’s retained for only about 90 days, if I recall correctly, or until you get another OTA update to replace it. You cannot find the “current” version anywhere because Power-Up OTAs are not cumulative or systematic. So, there isn’t a version you can look at and conclude with confidence that you are “up to date.” You can only look at the last one sent to you, even if that last one is relatively old.

The best you can do is with respect to the Sync system itself—by checking the software and revision numbers on the Sync screen—but that is a different question than the one you asked and tells you only the status of the APIM.

@JEB Thank you! Your reply is extremely helpful in answering my OTA questions. I've seen how many people already know their Power Up version which made me think I was missing some key piece of information. Now I understand (and you've confirmed) the known OTA version is purely based on a previous OTA and the associated history viewable in the FordPass app or other utilities. I've never received an OTA since I took delivery of my trunk in January, so I don't have any historical OTA version information in the FordPass app. Which is %$&*^# annoying. Ford is making this way too difficult.

The only meaningful version information I can see is the Sync 4 version.
Sync 4 Software Version: 22082 Build 411

@rugedraw Indicated this is a very old version. I'd like to figure how old. Do you know where I can find a revision list of Sync 4 versions or builds?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a mongoose cable to take care of these updates myself, but I'm still learning to understand my starting point before I jump in the deep end of the pool.

You can have a look here;

Ford Power-Up Version History - Wikipedia

It will help you understand the update history. Sometimes it is even confusing to all of us. Ford doesn't make it easy...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Thanks. I'm familiar with this list. While this list provides a history of the mystical Power Up versions there are only a few mentions of Sync software version and build numbers. I'm looking for a historical list of the Sync 4 software versions and build numbers.

Your Sync version is older, but it isn’t ancient. 22083 (83rd day of 2022) is around the last week of March. But, yeah, you can and should do better. The last APIM update I applied via FDRS was released in December and brought my Sync to 22293 rev. 610 (or 22294 if you look on Ford.com—don’t ask, nobody knows why there’s a discrepancy). That is the latest version I am aware of. Between March and December, I updated my APIM four times. But your progression will be different. I have a 2021 and the progression is not the same for 2022. But you will end up in the same place. Ford merged/standardized the Sync software late last year.

If you are going to go the FDRS route, you need to be patient and diligent. Don’t be surprised if you log in the first time and see no APIM update, even though you know there ought to be one. Frequently, other modules need to be updated first before an APIM update shows up. So, if you see a TCU, GWM or IPMA update, apply those and then a new APIM should pop up. But you’re not done. You’ll need to keep applying and rescanning to make sure you get everything.

The last Power Up update you got was 2.7.3 back in mid December. While your truck is behind, you are past the hump where these trucks get stuck, which is good. You just have to wait for Ford to deem you worthy of more updates.

You got 3.5.4 on 2/1 the 1009 BCM update shortly afterwards. You are up to date as far as I can tell.
