Thank you for taking the time to let me know what SW Updates are available for my truck.

I was considering sending you a private message with a follow up question, but I figured other people may also have the same question and confusion I have with SW Updates for specific modules and OTA updates.

Are these SW updates eventually done via OTA? I'm guessing yes.

Some are, some aren't, there is a list somewhere on this forum of exactly which ones.

The problem you are going to face if your truck hasn't received them via OTA it's likely they won't be pushed to your truck unless Ford makes some change to the deployment scheme. It seems like if your truck misses a deployment for whatever reason it gets left behind and Ford never tries to push an "old" update to the truck even if it needs it.

Hey guys, new to the forums.

My last Power-Up OTA was in June sometime, I think it was 2.7.3/4. I was under the impression that I would be receiving the 2.8.x series of updates soon, but it has since been crickets on the OTA front. I have received a couple of non-Power-Up OTA's since then, so I know I can receive them. Would anyone be able to shed some light on why I might not be getting 2.8.1? Was really hoping to have Bluecruise for the summer, but that didn't happen..

We can only see 60 days into your OTA history. I see you got the two no name updates you get before 3.5.2, but I cannot see what happened in the past. No way of knowing when you get an update pushed to you, but you are getting updates which is a good thing.

I just got my 21 Powerboost back from dealer on Friday and they said it is all updated, but it seems to be the same. I'm fairly sure it is still stuck at 1.7.1, can someone check my VIN?

I just got my 21 Powerboost back from dealer on Friday and they said it is all updated, but it seems to be the same. I'm fairly sure it is still stuck at 1.7.1, can someone check my VIN?

According to the vehicle history, it says 21G01 was performed in April, so you should have Bluecruise already. If you do, then you are at least on 2.8.2 and if you have cameras in motion, you are on 2.8.3. I see no OTA history on your truck for the past 60 days. All I see they did to your truck was they pulled the bulleting for the CMR removal and installation, then they performed a successful PMI which I assume is for the camera module they replaced. They did not perform any updates.

Thank you for the detailed response. I do not have Bluecruise options available or even mentioned on any screens. The only version I can find is that SYNC is showing version 21146 REV 145. I guess I will go back to the dealer and have them try to get this fixed.

I looked back into the vehicle history with more detail, and I see the APIM update failed when they did it. Then, they performed a module repair for the APIM and TCU which was successful. However, after they recovered the module, they didn't try to update it again.
