And a power supply capable of 20amps of continuous juice.i may try myself ,2 day lic, mongoose cable, laptop ,is that all i need?
Sync 23159 is one version behind the latest one. If you were not showing any more updates, then the issue is on Ford's side and they need to release a GWM module for you than once done, will release the rest of the APIM, TCU and GWM updates you need to be able to fully update. We used to have a way to circumvent the issue, but Ford blocked or was trying to block) the avenue that Jesse used to get around this, so he stopped doing it. There is nothing you can do but wait for the update to pop up on the server.@rugedraw - Last week I updated from Sync 20301 to 23159. I went until there were no more software updates available in FDRS (except the BCM). Could you take a look at VIN 1FTEW1EP2MKD24240 and see if there are anymore updates pending? Curious if I am up to date or if there is another wave I'll need to do or wait on. Thanks!
Dumb question , could I get away with jumper cables ,And a power supply capable of 20amps of continuous juice.

If you have a good connection and another vehicle you don't mind idling for hours and hours and hours.Dumb question , could I get away with jumper cables ,
could I get away with using jumper cables
FDRS and module updates are very finicky about Voltage, amperage, and SOC levels of the battery while updating. The modules are looking for a consistent voltage and SOC or updates will fail to install. You really should use a power supply to maintain the battery or you could end up with problems.Dumb question , could I get away with jumper cables ,
I bought an inverter , and a 30 amp car charger , rather be safe than sorryFDRS and module updates are very finicky about Voltage, amperage, and SOC levels of the battery while updating. The clore automotive 20a power supply/charger has worked very well for many forum members. As long as you turn it to power supply mode.I bought an inverter , and a 30 amp car charger , rather be safe than sorry
