Ok guys......I'm back. Anything still pending, please repost so I don't have to dig through so many pages.

Could I please get a vin check, its been a couple months since I have done updates and am curious to see what I have waiting. 1FTFW1E85MFB20473 Thanks in advance.

Last OTA you got was 2.1.0 in February. That is a very old update for being on Sync 23159, but it shows it went through. Does everything seem to be working on the truck?

Last power-up update was 4.2.4 back in May and then two priority updates in September. Like many others, you truck is waiting to be added to the roll-out schedule for the 6.x.x updates. I don't have access to FDRS now, but this is what PTS is showing.

I have a 2022 Lariat that I’ve had to the dealership a few times now for random things to get fixed and recalls. I’ve asked them if they could update my sync to get full screen apple CarPlay and they tell me it’s fully updated already. I’m also noticing weird glitches like my phone not connecting sometimes, screen freezing and sound/music from only the pass side speakers only which I’m hoping the update will also fix. Could you please let me know if I’m updated completely, thanks!

No OTA history at all on your truck and it is sitting on the same Sync version it was built with. I do not have a good explanation as to why you never seem to have gotten any updates sent, but you are for sure not up to date.

Just like above, last power-up you got was 4.2.4. You're just waiting for Ford to add your VIN to the roll out schedule for the next string of updates. Truck seems fine.

Thanks Rugedraw, I did a bunch of updates through FDRS in early Feb. I got to the point there were no more available. Everything seems to be working except for my 12" screen blacks out like it is doing a reset. The apim was replaced on Feb 5. the blackouts started on 3/18.

Finally got 3.5.4 on the 27th so I'm hoping I'll start getting more rolling in. Ended up doing an H8 battery swap to get things fired off.

I almost did. I had a guy message me that his truck had the brake squeal issue and I forgot how to look up if it had the build code that was part of the issue and then I forgot what the bad build code was and had to look that up, too.

Your truck is on Sync 20301 which is bad software from 2020 known to break the OTA process. The last time an OTA was sent to you was Jan of 2023 and it failed to install. Do you have an extended warranty?

See below. Last OTA sent was 4.3.2 which failed many times due to poor battery conditions and eventually timed out.

I bought this a month ago and the warranty is expired, prior owner was 2023. PO also got a nice Ford ESP plan but I've no idea who it was or how to contact them to pay the transfer fee ?

I had thought after activating and keeping it charged in it might catch up. looks like I'll have to go the Mongoose route.

Yep I had the bad battery issue but replaced it about a month ago.

What do I need to do to kick it off again?

The get the truck out of Sync 20301 can be done with FDRS, but it is not a simple process like a regular FDRS update. It requires plugging directly into the module with a series of cables. See attached.

There is nothing you can do to force an OTA to be sent to your truck. All you can do it wait or go the FDRS route and do it yourself.

That's wild, gone are the sync 2.0/3.0 stick a usb in it updates. that's too bad.

Could I get a vin lookup? I took my truck in for service for an APIM MODULAR replacement because I haven't had an OTA update since I bought my 21 Lariat Hybrid. I totally could not find the member that checked the last VIN check that told me the history of my truck. Thank you for your help ahead of time!!
