Hello! 2022 XL with cloth 40/20/40 seat setup. I'm pretty sure I've seen trucks with a center console in a regular cab so I'm assuming there must be a swap available, but obviously then you end up with a 2 seater instead of 3. Are there any seat swaps or console upgrades for the 40/20/40 setup? Thanks!

Ok cool, so you just need to get a center console assembly that doesn't have the shifter and then the HVAC trim panel for a truck with the 8" screen instead of the 12" screen, as well as the bracket bolts. Trying to decide if I'm alright with losing the jump seat or if I'd rather retain it. Looking like most guys are just re-covering the stock seats. Wasn't sure if there was anyone doing seat swaps yet with different seats or something.

The console bolts in the same place as the jump seat. My bolts worked and used the bracket that was there when I took out the jump seat. You can use console with the shifter in it if you like you will need the wiring harness that goes to the steering column and upper and lower steering column trim so when you remove the column shift. I redid the seats my self , with those brand new takeoffs from eBay. It took me shopping for about 6 months to find a console that wasn’t priced through the roof.

Ok cool, that's good to know you can do the console shifter and replace the column shifter if you want. Very cool that these trucks are modular enough you can do that. I know I have heard guys complain that the console shifter is a bit "weak" feeling in these trucks, but haven't driven one yet to know for myself. Easy enough if all you need is the non-column shift trims and the wiring harness from the shifter to the column. I gotta imagine those consoles are still kind of pricey.

Which seats did you purchase? Were they from like a Lariat or something and you re-covered them? I was debating re-covering the stock seats, but also was considering swapping a different seat in. Wondering if power seat conversion is possible.

Ah ok, I thought you bought full seats and re-covered them. So you re-covered the stock XL seats that you had with those. That's what I'm thinking of doing too. I just wondered if maybe like the seat itself was different between the truck or if they're all the same minus the heater elements/cooling parts/material.

He takes you through what you need to do and get through the the videos . Take your time when it comes putting the Velcro strips back down push pound and stretch as far as you can is key to not get wrinkles when your dune. You hands should hurt when your dune. If where to get katskins leather would start at about $1000. I got $200 in mine.

For sure, I have re-covered various seats in the past, including Audi heated/cooled/massage seats, and your fingers and hands will be sore after doing it. I'll start looking around for different options to re-cover the seats. I'm wondering if I want to maybe at heating to them as well, or even cooling. Has anyone done a power seat swap yet?

On my 24 I just unbolted the seat belt buckle from the jump seat and plugged it back in. Zip tied it in place under the console so it doesn’t move/rattle. Probably easiest way if you’re trying to avoid forscan.
I also purchased a console with the stowaway shifter, I just ordered the tray from Ford parts and swapped it over. The tray bolts in the same as the shifter assembly, I’d have to dig up the part number for it though.
