I honestly don't think anyone can answer this question yet, since the recall update isn't in play. At least not yet.

Theoretically, the whole cloud/truck infrastructure should automatically recognize that the vehicle is up to date. Since the truck reports to the mothership in the cloud and provides the "AsBuilt" values that are currently onboard, then the server would know the truck had the "DH" (or whatever is appropriate) version of the TRM module and would know the truck has had the recall procedure performed.

All this automation will work much better in the future than it currently does, in my opinion. This is all SO NEW and quite the deviation from the previous model of service and Oasis record keeping.
I'll be able to test this out, once the update is released on FDRS. I have the most up to date TRM module and the recall is still active on my account.

Edit - this assume it will be fixed via software only of course

Thanks for the clarifications, but I still have the question of how do I know my truck has the proper update if I don't have FDRS or Forscan or whatever? Trust the dealer?

Ford's systems are not talking to each other. I updated to BC and yesterday I get a CSP Campaign 22B08 recall for module recovery in FordPass.

you're going to have to be patient and wait like the rest of us for the dust to settle.

You can download the widget from @tonesto7, look at the As-Built XML from the Motorcraft site, or ask someone to pull up your data in FDRS and screenshot it for you. Not sure of any other way to get it.

Well, there are two more alternatives I know of. The first one you’re not gonna like. You can go to motorcraftservice.com, download your as-built data to your desktop, open that file with an XML viewer, scroll to network address 791 and then read the software version from Node F188.

The other alternative is to install @tonesto7 ’s Scriptable widget which essentially does the above automatically. But, you need an iOS device to run it.

If what you were hoping for is to just open a menu item on your Sync screen, no, you can’t get the module data for the TRM that way.

Once logged into motorcraftservice.com, where does one find their as-built ?

You can find your module as-built data using a link on this page: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/quickguides/quickguides
Awesome. I used this quick link: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

And this is my data:

<NODEID>791<F110>DS-MU5T-19J294-AJ</F110><F111>MU5T-19J302-DC</F111><F113>MU5T-19J294-DJ</F113><F188>MU5T-19J297-DH</F188><F18C>28521A-D20-30458</F18C></NODEID>

Blend was 11/5/2021, I have had this issue twice, and all software is stock from factory except for reprogramming back in December due to tailgate removal for line-x.

Very interesting. If you look at Node F113, you have a late-revision module hardware (DJ). Might explain why you have the generic DH software. An interesting experiment, however, would be to check FDRS and see if there is “new” TRM software for you to fix the false alarm issue. If there is, I’ll bet it’s ML3T and has a BB suffix. So, if your dealer installed this update, ostensibly in connection with the recall, you’d then be in the same boat as the rest of us.

I don't have access to FDRS, but if you or someone else does, then we could get that info.

Yes and no. You could find out whether you had new software waiting for you. You could not find out what version it is until you installed it.

Ask someone on the ECU thread to run your VIN. I’d do it but I wasn’t planning to reactivate my license until this fiasco resolves.

Since I know I've had this issue a couple times, I have no issue just waiting it out versus going to the dealer and then being in the mess with the wrong deal.

I think that is a prudent course of action.
