In April, my truck spent several days at the dealer getting Sync updates unstuck and enabling Blue Cruise. BC works fine and they said that the TRM recall had also been addressed. After returning home I checked the widget and found that they installed the "BA" version of the software. A few days later the recall was cleared in Ford Pass. Since then, I've had OTA updates to 2.8.1 and 2.8.3. Last night I got another OTA update which says they have addressed the TRM recall via software updates. Checking the widget this morning I was expecting to see the "BB" version installed by, no, it is still "BA". I'm not sure what's going on. It's a good thing I have no plans to tow a trailer with brakes in the near future.
Mine was done by the dealer and also says BA version.

That’s no good. Try redownloading the module information in the widget. It doesn’t automatically download just by refreshing. You have to go to module info page and redownload the data from there. You know you’ve done it right if you're prompted to reenter the captcha code. Then see what the module info shows.

Alternatively, send me your VIN and I can look at your as-built data.

I have tried reloading the module info a couple of times. I think I'm still on the BA version.

That’s disturbing. -BB was made available to everyone on May 15. If Ford is still pushing out -BA OTA while making -BB available in FDRS, they really messed things up.

I’m still happy to look up your data to double check if you like.

I just downloaded my AsBuilt data. I got the recall OTA and have ML3T-19J297-BB listed as my software version.

Good. Unfortunately, @JeffC57 definitely has -BA. Not sure what happened.

Any of y’all that have gotten it over OTA have their recall notice automatically clear?

Anyone has an idea (or suggestion) how to get this recall cleared by the dealer, once the fix is "self" applied (by FDRS or OTA) ?

Guess, showing them a screenshot from FDRS indicating correct software version in the TRM module would not be much of help

OTA was pushed to me on 6/1 and I have the BB software version. 1 week later and my recall notice is still there.

I'll let you know next Friday. Taking my truck in for the TRM recall and underbody insulation.

Update……I had not started the truck since the OTA update. I just started the truck then updated the module data in the widget tonight. I’m now at rev BB….All is good.?

Good news. So, no instances of Ford sending anything other than -BB OTA.

Next time I go in I thought of asking the dealer to just clear the recall notice, because I’ve already installed it. If they balk, I’ll tell them to go ahead and update my TRM and see what they do when they punch into FDRS and find nothing to install. I expect the conversation will go something like this: Dealer: “We can’t find the software. It’s not available.” Me: “There’s a federally-monitored recall out. Don’t tell me there’s no software. Better figure it out.”
