Wow, I had not seen this post but I received the recall in the mail yesterday, nothing on the Ford App about a recall. I looked under my truck and scoring has occurred. Since the insulation is already damaged I cut it off so it will not continue to score.

The recall says you can continue driving it so that is surprising

I took mine in this week for the recall. They sent pictures to Ford who said the driveshaft will need replaced, but they left me take the truck again until the part comes in.

Wow. That seems pretty extreme. What happened to their quality control?

Spoke to the dealer today. Said rivets to put things back in place if it needs it, take pictures, send pics to Ford. Replace the driveshaft only if it needs it and oh yea, best of all--no loaner because it is a wait for it and the wait time? 2 hours to inspect and drill and rivet. Does not include if you need a new driveshaft. I'm sure that is a whole other appointment. Brand new. 1,900 miles.

You can look under the truck yourself and see if the insulator is loose. With so few miles, I doubt you'd need a new driveshaft. I'm going in tomorrow. Waiting. My service writer says they are usually about an hour.

Had mine done last week, rivets installed. Got a call today from the dealer about parts for my frozen door latch issue and the advisor slipped into the conversation that there’s no ETA for the driveshaft. I was pretty confused because I was never advised after either of my 2 previous appointments that the driveshaft needed replacement. Fun times.

Mine was loose without touching the shaft, luckily. Yes it was about 2 hours for my dealer to fix.

Bring a book or podcast or call an Uber if you can't wait (and don't have a friend or family to drive you). My dealer has a free shuttle which works for me because I live close.

I would call the dealer out on it.

They quoted me two hours and yes I am hopeful that nothing is loose yet.

My first post so be gentle...

Hello everybody, I'm here in Canada and from what I've been told the rivets required are on backorder. Has anyone else seen delays with the rivets? I know Ford notified dealers prior to the recall being pushed through giving suppliers time to ramp up production.
