Rear parking sensor issue?

When I back up in my new 2024 raptor the driver side is always orange and beeping saying I’m close to something when I’m not. And it only occurs when I’m moving. Any ideas?

Mine picks up bushes like 3 feet away. It will only go off when moving.

I have had them do that right after a car wash, otherwise I only see that in winter when they get road grime and ice buildup on them.

I assume you've checked to make sure they are clean...

Could be a bad sensor, have you tried putting an obstacle in it's path verified 'proper' operation?

You could swap sensors to see if the issue follows the sensor, or not. At least it's happening now while you're still under warranty.

Yes, I had the same issue. https://www.f150forum.com/f129/false-alarm-rear-parking-sensors-552508/ Constant beeping in reverse when there are no objects in the way. Dealer replaced backup sensors and that didn't fix it. Dealer then replaced and reprogrammed the IPMA module and that fixed the constant beeping in reverse for me.

My issue now is that it beeps when I shift into reverse only when the temperature outside is 97°F+, then the beeping stops when the vehicle moves a bit.

Get your dealer to replace/reprogram the IPMA module, I think that is your truck's issue. Keep us updated!

I know this is an old thread but did you ever get this fixed? My truck is doing the exact same thing

I did but it comes back intermittently when it rains. It was the ring around the sensor
