Recently installed an aluminum canopy 180lb and a roof top tent 170lb on my 24 STX. With all my gear backed the back has begun to stag slightly to where it’s notice to my eyes. Looking for a leaf spring

upgrade, any suggestions or input would be appreciated. Don’t plan on airbags as I’m simply not a fan and I don’t tow much. The canopy and tent will remain on all season, looking to reduce the sag by less than 2”.
Thanks in advance.

Add a leaf...I installed Auto springs. No gimmicks. Additional leaves is the way to go. Install them and done.

How does the auto springs feel? Did it change driving characteristics? How much height did you gain back?

I can’t speak for the 14th generation trucks. But my 2018 I installed a 2 inch leveling kit to the front and an auto spring. Add a leaf to the back and it had just a little bit of rake, but not much. Probably raised the rear 1”-1.5”

Deaver. They’re a game changer. A guy I know put them on his F150 and when we would go over corrugated washboard roads, the rear suspension would be bouncing around out of control with the Ford springs. After putting the Deaver’s on, it was very controlled and rode so much better.

I also feel that bouncing around feeling during washboards. What rear shocks was your buddying running ?

I plan on going with Deaver progressive leaf pack they use for the raptor. Mainly for off road use, not sure how they’d work for all your extra weight but give them a call and they can build you the right setup. I had them do all 4 corners on my excursion custom.

Definitely a firmer ride, but alot more stable. Especially when towing. That with the 5160 shocks made a huge difference.

Deaver would certainly be the way to do it right. Very high quality, they can build a pack based upon exactly what you truck weighs.

Sorry I should have said it was a complete kit from Autosprings 2” front level with an extra leaf to add to the rear. I put it on when I bought my 2018 before taking delivery from the dealer. So no real comparison to ride quality changes before to compare too. With 4 leafs in the back I can tell you it rode like a truck. But that is what I bought it for. I didn’t tow very often but when I did there wasn’t much of any squat. Same when loading it down. Again nothing major like ton of rocks in the bed. But built a new house and occasional would haul building materials that squatted it down an inch or so. As I’m getting older my days of wanting a taller more aggressive looking truck are behind me now.
