Bump. I cant be the only one
There's no law that says you can't replace the bolt on the axle just to see if it's the source.

But I wouldn't attempt to loosen the bolt until I had the new one(s) on hand.

If the old one comes out without shearing, just replace it with the new one.
If the old one shears when you attempt to remove it, now the dealership absolutely can replace the whole axle/hub assembly.

Either way, if the creak you are hearing is indeed the axle issue, you will have addressed it.

I now have a creaking noise coming from the rear of my vehicle when I put it in drive or reverse, especially if I give it a little gas or hold down the brake and gas simultaneously. I took it to the dealership on Saturday, thinking the issue might be with the universal joint, but it wasn’t. You can hear the noise clearly if you put your ear to either side of the axle. Since I don’t have any loose seals or bolts, they won’t look into the rear end until a fix is released in the first quarter of 2025. I called Ford to complain about the noise, but I was told they could do nothing until the fix was available.

Has anyone else experienced a similar noise?

@Ford Motor Company, this is a massive issue with my truck.
My money is on your rear hub splines. One or both of the bolts will shear soon

Holy crap that sounds not satisfying ?

I'm not the smartest regarding rear ends, but I assume that will happen because of this recall?

I'm definitely not inclined to Open Pandora's box, lol
