As recommended, I performed a backup of all AsBuilt files before messing around in FORScan. Something came up, and I wanted to view the value data in a file, and that was when I noticed that all of the files are in a .abt file format. I fooled around with some online file converters (allegedly specifically for converting .abt files), but none of them recognized the FORScan backup files. So, what's the trick - how do you view them or convert them?

(I'm not trying to restore the files - just see what the values are.)

Oh yeah, I see it now. Thanks! Man, my eyes hurt just looking at it in Notebook form! It looks like a great opportunity to transverse a value, or drop a line down/up. I could go nuts looking at that thing! ? No wonder everyone puts it in a spreadsheet.

I do backups but do take screen shots before making changes, far easier to go back and see the changes. You can also grab the asbuilt from the motorcraft service site.

This is one of the best ways to look at your As Built files downloaded from Ford or Forscan. Download this program and install it on a PC. Within the program you'll be able to open and view your As Built file. The program will also allow you to open as many as 4 As Built files at one time and highlight the differences. It will also show you the F188 for each module at the same time for comparison. You can copy and paste from it into excel, but in my experience excel doesn't play well with hex code.

THANK YOU! I will download it and give it a run. From your description, it sounds EXACTLY what I was hunting for!
