Anyone put some speakers in the rear of your RCSB? I think that's the one thing in my truck that I dislike the most is the stereo is very, very front centered. Anyone put anything back there?

Also, I tried to search for this, but there was nothing that came up. If I've duplicated a thread, just point in me in the direction of that one. Thank you.

Could you be a little more specific? Are you looking for mids or base? Are you willing to give up any space behind the seats.

I just want something that could give me some sound back there. Hell, I'd settle for a 6x9 in a box, which is probably what I'd do if it was a normal stereo and not the screen.

Search around there are a lot of good write ups on the kicker Key 4 channel amp.

Several guys have found harnesses that tie it into the factory system Bruce at hush audio comes to mind. That will get good power to the front doors and leave 2 channels for some rears.

I found a box made by MTI acoustics that has budget box for 2 6.5 but they can tune it and cut for 6x9 from what I've read.

When you search the forums use the Google button and you will get much better results.

Thank you for the guidance. I checked those out. I'm not that big of a stereo system fanatic that I want to spend $1k on it. I'd be perfectly fine if it had factory stuff back there.

I'd be happy if it sounded like the 2014 work truck me and my son test drove. I don't need subs and amps and all that, but thank you.

Id start here and instead of upgrading front speakers if your happy use that money for your rear set up.

I don't know if anyone has found out how to pull the rear channels off the main radio but it may be a possibility i can't see them making a different radio for our truck. So it may just be locating the proper pinout.

Identify the wires run them to some generic boxes in the rear and enable in forscan may be possible but I did not explore that avenue.

I added a Pair of Kicker DSC 6930 6x9's to the doors with Metra 82-5606 adapter plates, the SGS block-off plates and some 80 mil Kilmat to the door skin. Made a world of difference and well worth the money spent. You could start with this and see if you really want rear speakers.

On order ‘22 RCSB.
I looked at this at one point and I think you need to turn the rear channels on with forscan since the RC trucks didnt come with rear speakers.
Rinn69 is correct though. I upgraded my door speakers, added sound deadening and the door block off plates and it drastically improved the sound quality. Not sure if that will scratch your itch though since you are wanting rear fill.
If you do something, let us know because Im sure others would be interested in the results.

not a lot of help but maybe you can reach out to this guy. Found it searching via duckduckgo.

I'll probably not end up doing anything. I have zero desire to get into Forscan or real heavy duty wiring or anything. I was hoping it would be like my older vehicles where I could just splice some wires in.

Thank you for the suggestions.

honestly man, the best thing you can do for your sound system is to sound deaden the doors, floor and rear wall. won't solve your front centered issue, but should make it a lot cleaner and the difference is huge. cheers

Does the gen 14 F-150 not have rear speakers? My 2014 RCLB does and I added Pioneer coaxial speakers at first but then just faded them to the front because I preferred the front only myself. I then went to a full active three way system with Audiofrog GB series mids and tweeters, JL C5 midbass, and custom ported sub in the back with full JL Twk88 DSP, and OMG did that system sound amazing. That made my 2-3 hours of driving more enjoyable then! I eventually went back to stock but I miss that system. Dire Straits, Momey for Nothing never sounded so good. ?
