Raptor LED Taillight Swap

I have a 20201 Lariat 502a with oem LED taillights. I swapped them for Raptor LED taillights and used ForScan to change the light coding from “stop only” to “stop and turn”. After changing the coding I noticed that when I use the turn signal for the first time in either direction it’ll blink fast three times and then blink normal. After the first use it blinks normal. If I shut the truck off and turn it back on it’ll do the three fast blinks again before going back to normal.

I had to change the coding with ForScan. I found a VIN for a 2021 Raptor and looked up the as-built data to compare it to my truck. The coding had to be changed to “stop & turn” in two lines of coding for the left and right sides.

Raptor tails use the top and middle for turn signal, and are red, instead of amber.

I'm curious if anyone has tried changing this in Forscan on a non-Raptor taillamp, and what the outcome was.

Wow. I always assumed raptor were the same lights as the tremor and BAP ones.

I've almost bought raptor tails multiple times on eBay but never bit the bullet. At least now I would know they are different ?

And if you buy the amber BAP lights you don’t have to do any coding with ForScan.

The problem is finding them. I mainly find raptor tails, not bap or tremor ones (a Tually only ever find raptor and tremor).

I need to find thep art number for the bap ones or find out if they are the same model as the tremor. You never know with Ford.

Find me a price first ?.. but sure yeah. At least knowing part numbers.

I also want a set of bap/tremor headlights, but still undecided. The hardest problem with those is finding undamaged ones.
