Anyone know how the Rapid Red Metallic holds up to scratches? Can it be touched up easily?

Anyone know how the Rapid Red Metallic holds up to scratches? Can it be touched up easily?

Don’t know too much about Ford’s Rapid Red, but I have had a few red cars with a similar hue.

I’ve used OEM/dealer issued touch up paint on those vehicles and it does a good job of hiding the scratch or chip unless you’re right up close looking at it.

The only color with major issues from what I’ve heard on here is black. Black cars look great when clean, but show everything including scratches, chips, swirl marks, etc. if you don’t keep it in top shape.

This is an XLT SuperCrew with the 302A High package and Chrome Appearance package that was available to test drive at the auto show I attended. I’ll have a new thread over in the “Show & Tell” section with even more photos.

It was bright and sunny the days I was there and you can see this Rapid Red really shine!
