Buy for what your needs are. Who cares if more expensive trims have more features that you really don’t use.

That begs the question of the buyers of the Tremor trucks who pay a premium and gain very little unless they opt for the $11,000 package that includes 4WD Auto that is stock on the Raptor.

The truck manufacturers have been adept at forcing buyers to go with packages where they pay a hefty premium to get on feature like 4WD Auto or intermittent wipers and a lot of other stuff that is worthless to them.

Something I have found commendable with Toyota is how they put the various safety features on all their trucks, even the bottom base models. With the F-150 for example the addition of fog lamps on a F-150 XL costs $1,200 which seems a bit excessive.

Yeah, there's a 23 402 tremor demo still priced 10k higher than what one could get a 24 XLT for. For ~$5k after letting go of the factory parts, you can turn it into a 402 tremor equiv w/ hi-loc transfer case, torson diff and H/C seats. Haven't yet seen the 24 tremor skid plate kit yet from ford perf. I really don't see the additional benefit of having ford put it together for you at such a premium.

I thought the hemi was gone?
2024 is the last year of the Hemi. I don't know how they're going to sell 2025s when they still have 2023s on the lot.

It's not gone, but it's always in my rear view mirror:bandit:. Respectfully, it's a lot of growl and not much power compared to a 3.5Eco with its 400hp/500ftlb of torque.

They will bring it back after the failed turbo six effort. You can’t beat the Le Mans winning Ecoboost! Just ask Toyota ?

The Ram turbo six is getting good reviews.

I sat in a used Ram 1500 Larmie Limited. If it had the 5.7, I would have driven it home. When I saw that it had the 3.0 Diesel, I could not get out of it fast enough.

That Larmie Limited is nicer than the Kings throne room.

No way I would pay the crazy price for a new Larmie Limited, and that trim is pretty scarce on the used market. I will always remember the five minutes that I sat in it, surrounded by all that leather and huge console storage.

Well, 2025 may well be the year of the Ram if the Ramcharger and the little straight six are as good as the reviews have been. Competition works toward our benefit ?

Ram still have far fewer engine options than are available from Ford or Chevy. I consider the 3.5L ecoboost engine the best in terms of power and fuel economy of any engine for a 1500 class pickup.

Ram has the option of a 33-gal gas tank unlike GM/Chevy and with Ram their rear tailgate is a great option but it costs $2,000 to get it with the required options packages. The Ford tailgate with the step and grab bar in 2024 adds $1,620 to the MSRP which is a 60% increase over my 2022 XLT. It is standard for the King Ranch and Platinum and Raptor and so still a greatly overpriced option.
